Maria Macsay brings an alchemical blend of performance artistry and somatic insight to her role as Dance Director, holding space with grounded clarity and soulful direction.
With a foundation in gymnastics that led her to the world of contemporary dance, she went on to earn her B.A. in Performance and Choreography from Columbia College Chicago.
Her performance career includes work with artists such as Jeremiah and Jason Derulo, as well as seasons with modern dance choreographers and companies including BoneDanse.
Maria has taught and choreographed for students ages 2 to 17, led competitive studio teams, and served as Director of Instructor Talent overseeing choreography, class design, and the development of over 140 instructors across six cities for a dance fitness company 305 Fitness.
Today, Maria’s artistry is deeply informed by over a decade of experience as an Integrative Coach and Trauma-Informed Somatic Healing Practitioner.
Her direction draws upon the body’s innate intelligence to invite each artist into deeper personal connection and expression; movement as medicine that not only touches the dancer but ripples outward, resonating through the audience and into the collective field.
